4Culture Association in partnership with WASP – Working Art Space and Production has the pleasure to announce the event Jardin d’Europe / Bucharest Souvenir, taking place between June 27 – 29, 2013.
The concept of Bucharest Souvenir originated in the idea of creating a retrospective selection of the 5-year activities implemented under the European project Jardin d’Europe. During 2008-2013 Jardin d’Europe project included residencies, workshops and scholarships (wild cards exchanges and danceWEB scholarships), dance critique seminars (Critical Endeavour), teaching research seminars (Teaching the Teachers), a European award for emerging choreographers (Prix Jardin d’Europe), supporting activities for emerging cultural managers (SuSy), the Balkan network (Nomad), documentation and researching activities (Action Research), and choreographic productions (Prix Jardin d’Europe co-productions).
All these activities, organized by the network Jardin d’Europe had a major impact on the European dance scenes, contributing to the an enhanced information exchange and international cooperation between the artists involved in the projects and also to an increased visibility of emerging choreographers on the European scenes.
In the period 2013-2018, 4 Culture Association will continue the international cooperation within the Life Long Burning multi-annual European project, within a network of 12 cultural operators.
